Paramount Pictures has revealed the official trailer for their upcoming fantasy film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, which is based from the popular tabletop role-playing game of the same name.

The film follows a charismatic thief and a band of unlikely adventurers unintentionally unleashing the greatest evil the world has ever known after helping the wrong person steal a lost relic. To fix their mistake, they take on an epic heist to retrieve the ancient item, but things go dangerously awry when they get into trouble with the wrong people.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves features the star powers of Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Regé-Jean Page, and Hugh Grant.

The film is co-directed by filmmaking duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley. They have previously worked on Spider-Man: Homecoming, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, and Game Night.

The role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons, was first published in 1974 and has since grown into a best-selling game, with an estimated 20 million players worldwide since its creation. The game is played by a group of four or five players, where one player is takes on the role of "Dungeon Master" who manages the game, controls the monsters and non-player characters, and narrates the story.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to premiere in theaters in March 2023.
