Wedding bells ringing! KaladKaren thanks friends for surprise bridal shower
What a stunning bride-to-be!
Ahead of her upcoming wedding to British partner Luke Wrightson, media personality KaladKaren was treated to a surprise bridal shower by her closest friends and family.
On Instagram, KaladKaren penned a lengthy thank you message to the people behind the bridal shower, including Its Showtime mainstay host Vice Ganda.
"Prince Charming lang ang ipinagdasal ko pero hindi lang iyon ang ibinigay ni Lord… may bonus pang mga taong nagmamahal at gusto kang makitang masaya," she wrote in the caption.
She then extended her gratitude to Vice for being the "major sponsor" of the event.
"Thank you Meme Vice @praybeytbenjamin dahil ipiniramdam mo sa akin na deserve natin maging masaya, mahalin at magmahal," wrote KaladKaren. "Ikaw din ang major sponsor ng surprise bridal shower na ito at sabi mo nga, dahil wala si Luke ay ikaw na rin ang “groom” kagabi!"
The 32-year-old local star also thanked her agency KreativDen, News5, her KRIB family, and actress Kim Chiu.
"Sa mga Varkada ko mula sa UP days Hanggang ngayon. Sa mga fairy godmothers ko ate @charissetinionp at Ms @kimtorresevents, thank you for making this possible! You're blessed because you are truly a blessing to a lot of people!"
She concluded, "Napakasaya ng puso ko."
In a series of photos and videos, KaladKaren can be seen surprised as she enters the venue wearing a sexy white dress, crown, and sash with the text "Bride to be."
One video also showed Vice delivering her message to Kaladkaren.
"Nakakatuwa na nararanasan mo ito, sobra mong deserve at sana maraming makakita at maka-alam ng magandang nangyayari sa buhay mo para maraming taong makaalam na ito'y imposible, ito'y lagging nangyayari, ito'y nangyayari sa maraming tao at ito ay normal," the Unkabogable star said.
Other notable attendees included News5 anchors Julius Babao, Christine Bersola, and Cheryl Cosim.
Last month, Luke popped the question anew during their trip to London with the Big Ben in the backdrop of their photos. Kaladkaren thought it was just a prenup shoot, but Luke got down on one knee.
"Proposal 2.0"!! Heart is full, hand is heavy!" she wrote on Instagram.
The pair first got engaged in 2020 after eight years of being together. The first proposal happened on the balcony of their home after dinner.
KaladKaren met Luke in Hong Kong in 2012 while she was on holiday. They continued to talk online after meeting and three months later, Luke came to visit the TV personality in the Philippines.
