Hello Travelers!

The summer season may be winding down, but there’s a lot of new cheerful sunshine-packed content to look forward to in Genshin Impact, with their latest patch update 1.6 in a couple of weeks.

More epic adventures await in the massively popular free-to-play action role-playing game, as developer miHoYo continues to add new in-game content and characters to the fantasy world of Teyvat.

Midsummer Island Adventure, set to drop on Wednesday (June 9) will include premium summer-themed outfits for Jean and Barbara, the latter of which can be obtained through in-game activities. The Version 1.6 update also promises new events and mini-games including a new sailing feature.

Save your wishes as Genshin Impact's latest update introduces new 5-star Anemo character, Kaedehara Kazuha from Inazuma, the third major city in the game. 5-Star Pyro character Klee also gets a Rerun banner.

According to developers, Kazuha is the first playable character from the stunning new region of Inazuma, a map of which is expected to arrive soon. Kazuha is described as a wandering samurai who is currently with Liyue’s Crux Fleet.

The sword-wielding character is said to play "the front and centre role in the upcoming Archon Quest", as Inazuma—Kazuha's homeland—is "closed to the outside world making it nearly impossible to get in."

"In the sweltering summer, a strange letter is discovered on the windowsill, with a spiraling fog shrouding a mystery far away," the video description teases.

"Following the sound of the crashing waves to find the truth, sparks dance on the horizon as the fleeing sun shines brightly across the sky.

"For her best friend and for the great adventure ahead, our youngest knight is ready to embark on her journey—let's go!"

The latest Genshin Impact update also incudes a new monster, Maguu Kenki, a mechanical humanoid that wields a razer-sharp blade like a samurai.

Genshin Impact, released on various platforms including PS4, Android, iOS and Microsoft Windows in September 2020, is currently one of the most popular free-to-play games worldwide. The game was recently released for PS5 with DualSense support and enhanced visuals, while a Nintendo Switch release is also in the works.

The game offers loads of collectible characters, multiplayer options, and ever-evolving content set in a massive and intricate open fantasy world that you can explore completely for free.

While the game does contains microtransactions and gacha mechanics, these are optional for those who want to upgrade their gameplay with premium content and obtain rare 5-star characters and weapons. Technically, players don’t need to shell out anything as long as they’re willing to grind for hours to farm Primogems, complete all the story quests, do daily commissions, collect bounties, explore domains, and loads more.

Genshin Impact's Version 1.6 Update is set for June 9, 2021.
