Two Filipino artists won in the recently concluded Morbius Talenthouse fan art global competition.

Columbia Pictures announced on Tuesday (Feb. 22) that artists Adriann Delmo and Jireh Villafuerte (a.k.a. Kyouzins), both from the Philippines, were among the five winners in the art competition.

Lead actor Jared Leto, who plays Dr. Michael Morbius, himself chose Delmo and Villafuerte as their entries captured the essence of the new Marvel legend.

The winning fan art will potentially be featured on physical posters or used as digital art to promote the film. Delmo and Villafuerte will also receive $2,000 (P106,620) each.

Other winners of the global Morbius Fan Art competition include Adhitya Maheswara and Tsaqif Baihaqi from Indonesia, and Pavan Chavan of India.

Check out the winning fan art below and catch the action-thriller Morbius, exclusively in Philippine cinemas March 30.

In Morbius, Jared Leto stars as the titular character, a doctor suffering from a rare blood disorder who undergoes his own experimental treatment that only manages to unleash his inner darkness and thirst for blood.

Aside from Leto, the movie also stars Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, and Al Madrigal with Tyrese Gibson.

Morbius is directed by Daniel Espinosa from a story and screenplay by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless based on the Marvel comics.

Morbius will be screened in Philippine theaters on March 30, 2022.
