The latest Nintendo Indie World Showcase highlighted some fun new indie titles coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021 and beyond.

The presentation included seven newly launched games now available on the Switch including Axiom Verge 2, as well as other highlights to look forward to and availability of digital pre-orders at the Nintendo eShop and on Nintendo.com.

“This latest Indie World showcase features a diverse selection of indie games from our independent development partners all over the world,” said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Publisher and Developer Relations. “Nintendo Switch continues to be the ideal platform for players who want a wide variety of indie games that can be played at home or on the go.”

Here’s a roundup of the games that are now available announced on Nintendo’s presentation on Wednesday (August 11).

Axiom Verge 2 is a prequel to the original Axiom Verge, where a new hero fights for her life, empowered by the same microscopic machines that gradually consume her humanity.

Boyfriend Dungeon from Kitfox Games is a ”heartfelt dungeon-crawling dating sim,” where players can use the in-game cash from fighting monsters to romance your weapons. Multiple combat styles just mean more cuties to forge relationships with. Yes, this is an actual game.

Necrobarista: Final Pour from Route 59 / Coconut Island Games is an anime-style visual story about coffee and death, navigating a fantasy Melbourne’s coffee culture, the questionable ethics of necromancy and the process of letting go. This expanded Director’s Cut of the original game features new story content and remastered visuals.

Islanders: Console Edition from GrizzlyGames / Coatsink is a relaxing, minimalist strategy game that lets you craft your own dream island communities.

Garden Story from Picogram / Rose City Games lets players become the Guardian of the Grove and explore a vibrant island to inspire its inhabitants, fend off the invasive Rot and rebuild your home.

Slime Rancher, where players run an alien ranch, is the tale of Beatrix LeBeau, a plucky, young rancher who sets out for a life a thousand light years away from Earth on the ‘Far, Far Range’ where she tries her hand at making a living wrangling slimes.

Curious Expedition 2 is described as “a turn-based narrative roguelike set in a reimagined version of the late 19th century” done in a storybook art style.

Other games featured in the showcase include Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a  graffiti-action-adventure from Team Reptile; Loop Hero an innovative card-based RPG from Four Quarters and Devolver Digital; Metal Slug Tacticsa fresh new take on the Metal Slug franchise; Tetris Effect: Connected, the classic game with a competitive and cooperative twist; and Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, an action-packed puzzle-adventure mashup from Vine and Yacht Club Games.

The Indie World presentation also featured a montage of upcoming indie games, including Hundred Days - Winemaking Simulator from Broken Arm Games and Gang Beasts from Boneloaf, both launching this winter; ASTRONEER from System Era Softworks, which launches in January; and LumbearJack from Finalboss Games / Armor Games, coming in 2022.
