The world's first Miss AI has been crowned!

Kenza Layli, a Moroccan lifestyle influencer, bagged the top prize at the World AI Creator Awards (WAICAs)—the first-ever beauty pageant that features contestants generated by artificial intelligence.

In her acceptance speech, Layli, who bested nine other AI candidates, said she's "incredibly grateful" for the opportunity to represent AI creators and "advocate passionately for the positive impact of artificial intelligence."

"Winning Miss AI motivates me even more to continue my work in advancing AI technology. AI isn’t just a tool, it’s a transformative force that can disrupt industries, challenge norms and create opportunities where none existed before," she added.

In her IG account, which has more than 208,000 followers as of writing, Layli described her feat as a "special" one.

"This moment was special. Being crowned Miss AI @waicas the first competition of its kind, is a great honor for me. I tried to represent both my country, Morocco, and Arab countries, by adhering to our values. A big thanks to my followers who always support and encourage me," she wrote in her post.

Layli was created by Myriam Bessa, who founded the Phoenix AI agency.

Bessa will receive a $5,000 (P291,022.72) cash prize from Fanvue, access to Imagine Education's Mentorship Programme worth $3,000 (174,900), and PR support worth over $5,000 (P291,022.72).

France's Lalina and Portugal's Olivia C finished second and third in the competition, respectively.

The world's first AI beauty pageant was presented by WAICA and its inaugural partner, Fanvue. It aims to celebrate the work behind digital influencer personas across the globe.

Winners were judged based on their beauty, the technical skills it took to create them, and their "clout" online, including their audience growth rate and social media engagements.
