LIST: The coolest and weirdest tech from CES 2026

Published Jan 07, 2026 6:51 pm

The biggest tech companies and rising start-ups are back in Las Vegas to showcase their wildest concepts, gadgets, and software at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show.

The tech event is running until Jan. 9 in the US, and so far, brands from all over the world have introduced their biggest innovations. For instance, toymaker LEGO recently unveiled its new SMART Play system, which includes a SMART Brick that allows for more interactive creations.

Apart from the usual cool laptops and cars, PhilSTAR L!fe is wrapping some of the coolest and weirdest devices and concepts from CES 2026.

Razer Project AVA

Razer's Project AVA is giving Black Mirror vibes. Think Ashley Too, but for gamers. The tech is basically an AI companion that sits in a capsule enclosure on your desk and emits a 5.5-inch 3D hologram that comes in different avatars with distinct personalities and looks.

The device has a camera and mic, allowing it to watch and hear you as well as see what you're playing on screen. Users can enlist AVA for tasks like gameplay tips, strategy, and beyond—kind of like your personal gaming coach.

But AVA also goes beyond the gaming realm, as it can be a "friend for life," as Razer describes it. The AI can also be your personal organizer for your schedule and another head for brainstorming.

LG CLOiD

Last year, there was a folding robot at CES 2025. This year, LG Electronics introduced CLOiD, a robot that folds clothes.

According to the appliance maker, the AI-enabled home robot can handle household tasks across connected home appliances like retrieving milk, starting the laundry cycle, and stacking folded clothes.

CLOiD comes with a chipset, a display, a speaker, cameras, sensors, and voice-based generative AI that make it come to life. Below its head unit is a small torso with robotic arms that move for different tasks.

Allergen Alert

CES isn't just about AI robots and the latest computers. French startup Allergen Alert showcased a portable device that is able to detect allergens or gluten directly in a meal.

The way it works is simple: take some food and put it into one of the single-use pouches, and insert it in the mini lab. The machine will then check for gluten and dairy and produce results within minutes.

Lollipop Star

The Lollipop Star isn't your usual sweet treat. When you eat this piece of candy, you'll be able to hear music.

During the showcase, Lava Tech, the company behind the gadget, featured three flavors playing music from Ice Spice, Akon, and Armani White.

The way it works is that it plays music through bone conduction. In its test run, CNET shared that the user had to wear earplugs to be able to hear the music amid the loud environment.

Samsung's 130-inch TV

If you thought a 100-inch TV is big, Samsung took it to the next level when it unveiled its 130-inch Micro RGB screen at CES 2026.

Despite being a big display, the 130-incher sported a modern look with a "Timless Frame" design. Under the hood, the Micro RGB screen uses AI to enhance dull tones, refine contrast, and deliver vivid colors.

Moreover, Samsung fitted the TV with glare-free technology, so viewers won't see reflections under different lighting conditions.
