Pokémon nature-themed park to open in Japan

The Pokémon Company has announced its nature theme park, Pokémon: Wonder, set to open this July in Tokyo.

Drawing from the deep history of Pokémon with nature, a new real-life adventure will hopefully make attendees appreciate the beauty of nature through Pokémon

The event will take place in a 48,000 square-foot forest hosted by theme park Yomiuri Land where over 50 hidden Pokémon species are hidden.

As per the rough translation on the official Pokemon Company website, a maximum of six-member teams will become members of Dr. Creso's research team. Attendees will arrive at the first area “Wonderfield,” most likely where attendees will be oriented.

The teams will search for pocket monsters in two courses—“Ancient Stone Wall” and “Whispering Bamboo Grove”—in under 90 minutes.

The ticketed event will begin on July 17.
