Grand Theft Auto 6 to be officially announced this week—report
Attention, gamers!
Grand Theft Auto 6 will reportedly be unveiled by Rockstar Games as early as this week, which will be followed by a trailer in December.
Bloomberg reported on Wednesday, Nov. 8 that people who are "familiar with its plans" told the publication about the possible announcement about GTA 6. Sources also said that the teaser for its latest edition will most likely be released next month in time for the 25th anniversary of the video game company. Some are speculating that it could be presented at The Game Awards on Dec. 7.
The media outlet reached out to a spokesperson for Rockstar Games for confirmation, but has yet to receive a response.
Rockstar Games confirmed that footage of GTA's latest version got leaked in 2022. Various clips from the leak showed male and female protagonist characters as well as a Miami-analog fictional city.
According to Bloomberg, GTA 6 is expected to be among the biggest drops in the gaming scene. Its previous edition has sold over 185 million copies since its release in 2013, making it the Top 2 bestselling video game of all time. The number one spot is held by Minecraft (2011), which passed 300 million copies sold in October this year.
