Happy International Women’s Day!

Today, as we celebrate some of the amazing women who inspire us every day, our SHEroes, let us also remember and acknowledge the achievements of women and those who have pushed for their advocacies for a better world.

Our favorite stars, for instance, are marking this occasion in their own ways through social media. Some wrote inspirational messages to uplift women, others paid tribute to the special women in their lives, while some are empowering women by reminding them of their worth.

Ahead, check out the celebrities who paid tribute to all women.

Jessy Mendiola

Jessy Mendiola shared a clip of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's 2012 TED Talk on feminism. The actress, who was once a victim of cyberbullying, shared that she would "listen to this every now and then" because it empowers her and gives her hope that "women are STRONGER when we lift each other up."

"I remember seeing this online a few years back. I was at my lowest because it was during the height of me getting bashed about certain things," Mendiola wrote. "It felt like so many women hated me for how I looked and the rumors spread about me."

She added that she "found comfort" watching Adichie's speech, and that more women are "showering me with love, kindness and strength."

"Up to this day, I feel so empowered when I see other women supporting women," Mendiola added.

"Whether you aspire to marry or not, that shouldn’t make you feel less of a woman. You have a right to choose whatever you want to pursue. ALL types of bodies should be appreciated, praised and loved. Our sensuality and sexuality is our right. We have a RIGHT to express ourselves the way we want to. Women should be celebrated. We are VERY powerful. We love, we sacrifice and we conquer."

She ended her IWD post saying, "To all the women out there, fight for your peace. Fight for what you believe in, especially if it is for the greater good. You are a WOMAN, and that’s your SUPER POWER. Happy International Women’s Day!"

Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez

For Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Gomez, her superpower is being a woman.

“'I am a WOMAN. What’s your superpower?' Happy International Women’s Day," wrote the beauty queen on Instagram, as she shared a photo wearing a beaded Francis Libiran gown with tiered ruffled shawl.

Multi-hyphenate Anne Curtis wears her "Lady Legend" sweater to commemorate the special day. In a post, she asks women to "continue to use our voices where it's needed."
