WATCH: Retail company releases Glorietta 'video guide' after viral French TikToker said it's a 'maze' and 'death trap'

Ayala Malls released a “video guide” in navigating Glorietta, in response to a French TikToker who went viral for expressing her frustrations over the mall being a “maze” and a “death trap.”

In a Facebook Reel, Aryn Cristobal of the Glo Trotters Tours, introducing herself as the “best tour guide,” said they heard people were having a hard time navigating the mall.

She jokingly said the tour takes place from Glorietta 1 to 7, referring to the mall’s sections, but someone off-screen corrects her that it’s only until 5.

(Glorietta 1 to 4 is contiguous, while Glorietta 5 is fully detached.)

The video then shows Cristobal walking into the east wing but apparently cannot identify what section she’s in.

“This is where they usually hold meet and greets,” she said. “You find a big space, that’s where you go.”

Cristobal then shows the mall’s “very intricate stairway and escalator system” and, again, attempts to identify the section she’s in. She also jokingly refers to the floor as "1/2."

Afterward, she goes to the walkway with one railing in the middle, reminding viewers that if they see it, it’s Glorietta 4.

“There’s a BreadTalk there,” she said of the bakery. “Just look for the railings.” She added that to know it's Glorietta 4, remember the "R" from the words railings and four.

After the series of jokes, Cristobal went outside the mall premises to tell mallgoers a serious message.

“We’re actually taking some measures to make navigating around the mall so much easier for you.”

She noted that the mall has been undergoing renovations since the first quarter of 2024. It’s expected to be finished by 2026.

Cristobal then gave a shout-out to the concierge, who she said was always there to help.

On TikTok, user @juliediemaus called out the architect who designed Glorietta, saying she wants his name and phone number because she has a “beef” with him.

She noted that she had been walking around for half an hour trying to find the exit, joking that if nobody hears from her, a rescue mission is needed.

A commenter told her to ask the security guards, but Julie said that even they aren’t sure what is where sometimes.
