Canadian actor Percy Hynes White, who played the role of Xavier Thorpe in the hit Netflix series Wednesday, officially won't be back in its second season.

In a social media post, the streaming giant revealed the official cast on Tuesday, May 7. Jenna Ortega is set to return as Wednesday Addams alongside other Season 1 stars, including Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzman (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin).

New faces have been added to the second installment of the series, such as Christopher Lloyd, who starred as Uncle Fester in the 1991 Addams Family film and its 1993 sequel before Fred Armisen took over the role for Wednesday's debut season.

Other new characters include Grandmama (Joanna Lumley), Capri (Billie Piper), Dr. Fairburn (Thandwie Newton), and Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi).

Netflix also dropped a promotional video where Thing, Wednesday's loyal sidekick and assistant, can be seen handing out scripts to the cast.

"My, but what a sight for sore eyes. Season 2 of Wednesday is now in production!" the caption read.

Aside from White, Naomi Ogawa, who played Nevermore Academy vampire student Yoko Tanaka, will also not be part of Wednesday Season 2.

White's Wednesday exit came after sexual allegations against him surfaced in January, when social media posts claimed that White and his friends manipulated women to have sex with them

During that time, fans of the hit series called for the removal of the actor from the cast, but Netflix remained silent on the issue.

The 21-year-old actor later decried the issue, stressing that this was a "campaign of misinformation" about him that had been spread by somebody he had never met.

"The rumors are false," he emphasized in an Instagram story. "I can't accept the portrayal of me as someone bigoted, or criminally negligent of people's safety. These are the kind of baseless, harmful claims that can create mistrust toward victims."

Wednesday, which follows the story of the Addams Family by Charles Addams, premiered on Netflix in November 2022 and was included in Netflix's Top 10 List of most popular English series. Its renewal for a second season was announced early last year.
