WATCH: BINI performs 'Cherry on Top' at KCON LA 2024

BINI became a trending topic on social media after their historic performance at this year's KCON.

The nation's girl group took the stage and sang their latest single Cherry on Top on Sunday, July 28 (Philippine time) at the popular K-pop music festival KCON.

The P-pop bunch wowed the audience with their visuals and vocals during the M Countdown Pre Show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Team Bloom USA, a fan page dedicated to BINI in the United States, shared a video of their performance on X.

The fan page also gave a look at the girls in photos posted on Instagram.

After their KCON LA 2024 performance, one of their members, Aiah, gave a special mention to their leader, Jhoanna, who had to skip their performance due to "unanticipated health issues."

"We're actually an 8-member girl group but one of our members, our leader Jhoanna, is not here with us. She's still in the Philippines but we miss her so much. Jhoanna, we miss you!" she said.

In a statement, BINI's management assured their fans that Jhoanna is "being monitored closely and recovering well."

Their KCON appearance became a trending topic on X, with #BINIatKCONLA2024 garnering over 175,000 posts, "Colet" with over 65,000 posts, "Maloi" with almost 58,000 posts, "Aiah" with almost 65,000 posts, "Stacey" with almost 35,000 posts, "Gwen" with almost 47,000 posts, "Master Jho" with over 3,000 posts.

BINI consists of Maloi, Stacey, Jhoanna, Colet, Gwen, Mikha, Aiah, and Sheena. They were recently hailed as the Philippines' top artist on Spotify after surpassing Taylor Swift as the most-listened-to artist in the country.

They're set to hold the grand BINIverse concert in November following three sold-out shows at the New Frontier Theater last June. It will run for two days.
