Globe celebrates GDay 2021 with amusement park theme

In an amusement park-themed event dubbed “GlobeGIFLand,” Globe Telecom Inc. unboxed the exciting innovations in store for all their customers in celebration of its iconic 0917 prefix on September 17. GIF, which stands for Globe Innovation Fest, focuses on enhanced improvements to offer Globe subscribers.

Globe Vice President for Retail Sales Operations Gino Guinto unveiled the Globe Shop & Pay, a Smart Stall for an accessible and efficient way to pay bills, access promos, and buy postpaid loads.

The upgraded ATM-like stalls will also provide access to the company’s latest products and enhancements, as well as allow customers to upgrade their current plans, book for customer service appointments, and connect to Globe’s digital channels. The Shop & Pay will soon be installed nationwide.

The telco giant also revealed the newest Globe One App which combines the features of all existing Globe apps such as Globe One, TM, Globe at Home, and Globe Rewards. Product owner Juuya Reyes said the upgrade is a movement to make customers adjust to the digital space as everything nowadays is online. 

Globe Prepaid Brand head Eric Tanbauco announced the latest promo GoCreate. The promo lets low-spending prepaid customers decide how much data to use, how long it will run, and where it could be used. 

“Ang ganda lang na our customers actually have a say on what goes on their promo based on their needs,” Tanbauco said. 

Consumer broadband marketing director Marc Manalastas also announced Globe’s move to launch free upgrades to Fiber connection for all Globe at Home customers. In addition to upgrades, Globe revealed #GlobeofGod where subscribers may donate points to their chosen charity as a beneficiary. 

“It hasn’t been easy for many of us for sure, and even here at Globe we have also gone through a lot of challenges. But what keeps us going and what makes our 0917 celebration really special this year is that you get to share your rewards with the people who need them the most,” Globe president and CEO Ernest Cu said.

0917 festivities will also include an online gaming cup where winning players get a chance to win cash and donate cash prizes to their chosen charity, an online raffle where a grand pot of 1 million Globe credits is up for grabs, a super sale offering deals on online shops, an online concert, and webinars on technology.
