“Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was designed for the big screen and for the best sound systems,” said Wright. “To be able to see it with the best specs is obviously any filmmaker’s dream. You want people to see it as good as it could possibly be. I suspect that if you’re a fan of the movie, you’re going to get such a kick out of seeing it like this.”
The director, whose other works include Last Night In Soho, Baby Driver, and Shaun Of The Dead, also shared a new cut of the trailer highlighting some of the film’s funniest and most quoted lines and reminding audiences just how stacked the film’s cast is with superhero talent.
The romantic action comedy film that matches the style of video game and comic book imagery stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a slacker musician who must win a competition to get a record deal, and battle the seven evil exes of his newest girlfriend Ramona Flowers, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
The film’s supporting cast includes stars who have gone on to play iconic superheroes in other major film projects including Chris Evans (Captain America), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Brandon Routh (Superman/The Atom) since Scott Pilgrim first came out in 2010.

Wright also confirmed on social media that a 4K UHD Blu-Ray release of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is underway, but no release date details have been given out yet.
