Disney+ joins Hulu in livestreaming Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, ACL music festivals
For the first time, Disney+ will be joining Hulu in streaming three major US music festivals live this year.
The upcoming events set for livestreaming include the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, which will be held in Manchester, Tennessee from June 11 to 14; Lollapalooza, which will take place in Grant Park, Chicago from July 30 to Aug. 2; and the Austin City Limits Music Festival, which will run from Oct. 2 to 4 and 9 to 11.
Hulu has been streaming these Live Nation festivals for the past five years. With Disney+ now also offering the same exclusive global livestream service to its subscribers, more audiences across continents will be able to enjoy the music festivals right from their couches at home.
“Music festivals used to be experiences reserved for the people who could physically be there,” said Kevin Chernett, EVP, head of Global Media Partnerships at Live Nation through a press release.
“Now they’re becoming global live moments that fans want to experience together in real time, no matter where they are in the world. Expanding this partnership with Disney+ and Hulu allows these festivals to reach music fans at an entirely different scale," Chernett added.
Both Disney+ and Hulu will also have an on-site content studio at each festival. Subscribers of both platforms will have access to exclusive artist interviews and behind-the-scenes content throughout all three festivals.
This is especially exciting news for subscribers in the Philippines eager to watch P-pop kings SB19 and Filipino-British singer-songwriter Beabadoobee perform at Lollapalooza 2026. Both have confirmed their performances. It will be SB19's first time on the Lollapalooza stage.
Major acts headlining Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival are the Strokes, Skrillex, and Rüfüs Du Sol, with a performance curated by Kesha and a late-night set by Weird Al Yankovic.
At Austin City Limits Music Festival, fans can look forward to watching main acts Charli XCX, Twenty One Pilots, and Lorde.
