Labyrinth's ABC storybook will delight fans of all ages
Relive the adventure of Jim Henson's classic film Labyrinth one letter at a time with an adorablly illustrated children's storybook. Written by and featuring beautiful artwork by illustrator Luke Flowers, Labyrinth: the ABC storybook is a memorable retelling that's sure to please both old and new fans alike.
"B is for Baby Brother, lost in the labyrinth. G is for the Goblin King, whose castle lies at the maze’s center. S is for Sarah, who must go on an incredible adventure to make it right. Only by journeying across the ABCs can our hero find her way through the labyrinth, with the help of fantastic creatures she meets along the way!"
Puppeteer and filmmaker Jim Henson achieved worldwide acclaim for his work on The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, where he created a fantasy world unlike any other. The musical fantasy released in 1986 – starring a young Jennifer Connelly (recently seen in the dystopian TV series Snowpiercer) as 16-year old Sarah Williams and pop and rock star David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King – is considered a cult classic.
The 32-page hardcover book published by Imprint is ideal for kids aged 3 to 6, but there's no doubt that moms will want this more than the kids. The generation of mothers who grew up pretending they were Sarah forced to babysit and rescue their half-brother Toby will want to relive the magic with their own kids through this storybook. The kid-friendly version features letters for each of the film’s unforgettable characters and twists and turns throughout the alphabet.
The storybook depicts cute illustrated versions of some of the film’s memorable muppet characters who were all created in Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Reunite with old friends like the dwarfish Hoggle, friendly beast Ludo, the anthropomorphic fox Sir Didymus and his sheepdog steed Ambrosius as you flip through the pages.
The Labyrinth: The ABC Storybook was officially launched on September 29, 2020 and can be purchased through Amazon for $19.99. You can also buy the e-book from Google Books for P471.59 viewable on smartphones and tablets.
