Fully Booked to give away free comic books this May 13
Get a chance to snag some free comics, bookworms!
The annual Fully Booked Free Comic Book Day is returning this May 13 where you can get new comics to add to your libraries without having to spend.
According to the mechanics, you can receive a random selection of two free comics when you visit the Fully Booked store located on Bonifacio Global City from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will also take place in any Full Booked branch in Metro Manila, but you can only get a random selection of one free comic.
The books encompass a variety of genres and popular titles, such as Spider-Man, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pokémon, Avengers, Star Wars, Naruto, X-Men, and more.
Not only that, but the event will also give bookworms the opportunity to snag 20 percent off on select titles under the Graphic Novel and Manga, Children's Graphic Novel and Manga, Adult Science-Fiction/Fantasy, and Film and Media on all Fully Booked branches nationwide and their website on the same date.
For a minimum purchase of Php 1,500 under those categories on their website, you can also get one free comic.
Meanwhile, if you're near the Bonifacio High Street and MITSUKOSHI BGC branches, you can get 20 percent off on Japanese titles as well as some manga merchandise.
Several artists will also be present at the Bonifacio High Street store, where they will be selling their own comics, prints, stickers, and other related merchandise. You can also take photos with them and ask for on-the-spot commissions.
Held every May, Free Comic Book Day started in 2002 as an annual promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to help bring new readers into independent comic book stores. The event has since spread to countries in Asia, Europe, and Australia.
