The trailer of the Filipino adaptation of the hit Korean drama It's Okay to Not Be Okay is out, offering glimpses of the show's expected riveting moments.

In the minute-long trailer from Star Magic posted on Dec. 11, Emilia Hernandez (Anne Curtis), a popular children's book author who has an antisocial personality disorder, is seen walking past fans and media members.

The scene then cuts to her back-hugging a little girl, saying, "I want to be a pretty witch." In another scene, she strikes a ceramic plate with a knife during lunch, sliding it against the surface.

Viewers will then see Matthew Gonzales (Carlo Aquino), who has autism, appearing to have a breakdown.

"Ayoko nga ng paruparo," he says as the camera goes shaky.

The scene shifts to Matthew's younger brother, psych ward caretaker Patrick Gonzales (Joshua Garcia), who runs across the hospital hallway.

It then jumps to Emilia and Matthew's face-off, as he holds the blade of the knife she's aiming at him. Blood can be seen dripping from his hand.

There's also a moment in which Matthew visits Emilia in her office, telling her, "Ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit ako nandito."

Emilia taunts her, saying, "I've heard that pickup line so many times."

But he stresses, "Gusto talaga kitang makita," to which she replies, "Bakit."

"Dahil sa mga mata mo," Matthew says, as close-up shots of their faces with wide stares are shown.

Animations depicting Emilia's characters then come to life before showing a wide shot of her and Matthew facing each other.

In the original K-drama, the antisocial children's book author Ko Moon-young moves to her hometown to pursue psych ward caretaker Moon Gang-tae, who has dedicated his life to caring for his autistic older brother Moon Sang-tae.

The local It's Okay to Not Be Okay marks Curtis's teleserye comeback after a decade. She last starred in Dyesebel in 2014 and appeared on FPJ's Ang Probinsyano in 2016.

It will be available on Netflix.

At the helm of the project is Mae Cruz-Alviar, who directed the DongYan-starrer Rewind and KathNiel movies like Can't Help Falling in Love and Crazy Beautiful You.

Henry King Quitain, who worked on the likes of The Legal Wife, Bagani, and Dolce Amore, serves as the creative producer.

Further details haven't been announced yet, including the release date and other cast members.
