Weekend hangs: Free bike lessons, Museo Pambata reopening and other fun events to look forward to

Here are just a few events happening in and around the metro on this last weekend of September to choose from.

Free bike lessons in Pasig

Want to learn how to ride a bike? In collaboration with AltMobility, Bicycle Friendly Philippines, FNF Philippines: It’s All About Freedom, and Pinay Bike Commuter, Pasig Transport invites you for free biking lessons in Caruncho Avenue, Pasig City this coming September 24, 2022. 

This Saturday, San Nicolas People’s Street will be open to the public for free biking lessons this month of September from 7 AM to 10 AM.  

 

According to Pasig Transport, there will be no pre-registration and registration required for the event. Wearing of face masks and other COVID-19 health protocols must also be observed by participants. These free lessons seek to encourage more people to cycle and advocate opening more bike lanes for everyone. 

Caruncho Avenue Westbound will be open exclusively for pedestrians, bicycles, and other light personal mobility devices from 6 AM to 6 PM every Saturday and Sunday starting this September 24 onwards.  

Museong Pambata reopening in Manila 

 

Kids and kids at hearts, here's another event for you. In a Facebook post, Museong Pambata announced its reopening this coming September 25, Sunday, at Roxas Boulevard, Corner South Drive, Manila City from 10 AM to 4:30 PM. 

The country’s first interactive children's museum will surely ignite your energy with these activities such as a museum tour, art workshops, buskings, and more! 

For only a P450 admission fee, you can relive your childhood memories and immerse in our country’s rich heritage and culture. Only a limited number of people are allowed. So be sure to register on their link to be included on the waiting list (bit.ly/MP_Reopening).

Flourish: Arts, Crafts, & Beyond at BGC Arts Center 

Let your creative ideas flourish as BGC Art Mart brings you a weekend of art and craftsmanship over the weekend! 

From September 23-25, local artists and art communities will jive as one with BGC Art Mart’s ‘Flourish: Arts, Crafts, & Beyond’ at the Alveo Center Plaza, BGC Arts Center, from 3 PM to 9 PM.

From meeting fellow local artists to socializing with the local art community, everyone also gets the privilege to shop for new artsy items from Nina Santos Shop, Ms. Kat Wears, Dainty Wanderess, and other art shops to complete your art galore experience. 

 

Take your seats and enjoy live performances as BGC Impromptu Artists such as Raf Bernardino, Michael Vargas, Liz Besana and many more, join the event to give you the grooves. 

And what’s best about this event is that admission is free. Wearing face masks and other COVID-19 health protocols must also be observed throughout the event. 

Blink Fiesta at Market! Market! Activity Center, BGC 

BLACKPINK is certainly in your area, Blinks! 

At Market Market Activity Center, BGC, Filipino Blinks are invited to join ‘Blink Fiesta: BLACKPINK Philippines Major Gathering’ on September 24, 11 AM. 

With an admission fee of P50 or P100, Blink Fiesta will be filled with exciting booths, raffles, contests, merchandise, and special performances that are yet to unveil at the event. 

The P50 fee includes access to the event, a banner, photocards, and postcard, while the P100 fee includes a banner, photocards, postcard, and a P50 contribution for the Born Pink in Manila project. 

Official registration starts at 10:30 AM on the same day. Participants who have pre-registered via BLACKPINK Philippines’ form, which ran from August 30 - September 17, will just need to provide an I.D. upon the registration. 

Blinks can also avail of a Blink Fiesta Kit and get it upon registration. The kit includes a venue ticket with control number for the raffle, a wristband, a Bingo card and the inclusions provided on the P100 fee admission stated above. 

Before the program proper, you can enjoy lots of activities prepared just for Blinks like you! Dedicate a letter to BLACKPINK, take wonderful photos at the photobooth, get your face painted, and many more.
