Upcoming ‘Fast & Furious’ film to be released in 2028
The latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, Fast Forever, is coming in 2028.
Universal has announced that the next Fast & Furious sequel, titled Fast Forever, will hit theaters on March 17, 2028. This follows 2023’s Fast X and continues the long-running racing saga.
Series lead Vin Diesel celebrated the news on Instagram, sharing a tribute photo featuring himself and the late Paul Walker.
“No one said the road would be easy… but it’s ours,” Diesel wrote in his post. “One that has defined us and become our legacy… And a legacy… lasts Forever. March 17th 2028! FAST FOREVER.”
Universal has not yet released information regarding the film's plot, cast, or creative team.
In February 2024, Diesel confirmed the 11th film will serve as the finale for the franchise’s main storyline.
“Just finished our end of the week Fast meeting with the writers and the whole team… to say the excitement for our finale was incredibly powerful is an understatement,” he wrote at the time.
He continued: “This grand finale is not just an ending; it’s a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together. Hope to make you proud!”
Since its 2001 debut, the Fast & Furious franchise has grossed over $7 billion globally. Fast X, the latest entry released in 2023, featured series veterans like Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris, alongside stars John Cena, Jason Momoa, and a cameo by Dwayne Johnson.
