Looking to read more books in the second half of 2026?

Now's the time to add more good reads to your collection as Solidaridad Bookshop is holding a clearance sale with discounts of up to 70%.

The bookstore announced in a Facebook post that it's offering massive discounts on its foreign titles until the end of the month.

Solidaridad Bookshop's clearance sale will run until June 30.

Solidaridad Bookshop was founded in 1965 by National Artist for Literature F. Sionil Jose. Since it first opened its doors, the place has been regarded as "the best little bookstore in Asia."

After F. Sionil and his wife, Teresita Jose, passed away in 2022, the bookshop was managed by their eldest son, Tonet Jose.

In November 2025, the bookstore announced that it had been sold to Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste, son of Sen. Loren Legarda.

Solidaridad Bookshop is located at 531 Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.
