LOOK: Shin Hye Sun is a veteran reporter in new series 'Dear Hyeri'

Shin Hye Sun steps into the role of a veteran news reporter in her upcoming Korean drama, Dear Hyeri.

A sneak peek from ENA, a South Korean TV channel showed the 34-year-old actress, who's known for her role in Mr. Queen, in character.

Joo Eun Ho, a 14-year veteran news reporter, develops dissociative identity disorder after her younger sibling disappears and her longtime boyfriend Jung Hyun Oh (Lee Jin Wook) breaks up with her.

In the newly released stills, Hye Sun appears to be reading a script to prepare for her news broadcast.

Hye Sun's character has the polished appearance of an experienced reporter in front of the camera, wearing a fine suit, well-groomed make-up, and a warm, approachable smile.

However, as the synopsis of the drama said, her breakup with her partner of eight years, causes her to struggle alongside some emotional wounds from family issues.

As per Soompi, the drama also will look into "Joo Eun Ho's feelings as she sees Jung Hyun Oh succeeding while she struggles."

In addition to Hye Sun and Jin Wook, the drama will also feature Kang Hoon as Kang Ju Yeon, a model student and news anchor, and Jo Hye Joo as Baek Hye Yeon, a versatile modern news anchor.

Hye Sun debuted in the hit television series School 2013 alongside Lee Jong Suk and Kim Woo Bin. In 2017, Hye Sun had her first leading role in My Golden Life.

She is also best known for her other leading roles in various Korean dramas such as Still 17 (2018), Angel's Last Mission: Love (2019), Mr. Queen (2020), See You in My 19th Life (2023), and Welcome to Samdal-ri (2023).

Dear Hyeri is set to premiere on September 23.
