Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson revealed that he and his family have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019.

In an 11-minute Instagram video, Johnson shared that his wife Lauren and their two daughters have contracted the virus.

“My wife Lauren as well as my two baby girls and myself we’ve all tested positive for COVID-19. And I could tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family,” Johnson said.

Although they contracted the virus, Johnson said that they are “no longer contagious.”

“I wish that it was only me who tested positive but it wasn’t, it was my entire family so this one is a real kick in the gut. But I’m happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We’re on the other end of it, we’re on the other side and no longer contagious and we are, thank God, we are healthy. And we got through COVID-19 stronger and healthier,” Johnson said.

He continued: “Believe me, I’m counting my blessings because like all of us we all have been hit by this thing whether it’s people we know, family we know, loved ones we know, friends we know. So we’re counting our blessings right now because we’re well aware that this isn’t always the case that you get on the other end of COVID-19. I have had some of my best friends lose their parents to this virus that is so incredibly relentless and unforgiving and it’s insidious. But we are counting our blessings and we are good."

“Stay disciplined. Boost your immune system. Commit to wellness. Wear your mask. Protect your family. Be strict about having people over your house or gatherings. Stay positive. And care for your fellow human beings,” the actor wrote.

Johnson is among the actors who contracted the virus. Last March, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson also tested positive for COVID-19. Some of the celebrities who contracted the virus were Idris Elba, Bryan Cranston and Antonio Banderas.
