New movies in Philippine cinemas this April

Get ready to enjoy movie magic on the big screen with the latest movies being released in Philippine theaters this month of April.

The exciting adventures of Dumbledore's First Army await in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. The third installment in the Fantastic Beasts film series, and eleventh overall in the Wizarding World franchise, sees Albus Dumbledore tasking Newt Scamander and his allies with a mission that takes them into the heart of dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald's army.

You can also catch a romcom set in the backdrop of an epic journey in the jungle in search of ancient treasure in The Lost City starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, or bring the kids along for a couple of family-friendly flicks.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

Professor Albus Dumbledore needs to prevent the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald from seizing control of the wizarding world. Unable to do this alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to steer a group of wizards, witches, and a brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission.

Clifford The Big Red Dog

Those with kids might want to check out Paramount Pictures' latest family-friendly flick, Clifford: The Big Red Dog based on the children's book series of the same name by Norman Bridwell.

When Emily Elizabeth meets a magical animal rescuer who gives her a little red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant, 10-foot hound in her small New York City apartment.

With her single mother away on business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle set out on an adventure that takes a bite out of the Big Apple.

The Lost City

Sandra Bullock is back in a romcom with Channing Tatum in The Lost City.

Brilliant, but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Bullock) has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan (Tatum), who has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, “Dash.”

While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (Daniel Radcliffe) who hopes that she can lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story.

Wanting to prove that he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her. Thrust into an epic jungle adventure, the unlikely pair will need to work together to survive the elements and find the ancient treasure before it’s lost forever.
