Bea Alonzo reveals she and Dominic Roque almost broke up
Bea Alonzo has revealed that she and her boyfriend, actor Dominic Roque, nearly broke up.
In an interview that recently premiered on local personality Small Laude's vlog Small Talk, the actress was asked: "Nag-break na ba kayo ni Dom?"
Bea answered that she and Dominic never broke up since they started dating, but came close one time.
"Break? Simula nung naging kami, hindi pa kami nag-break. Muntik kami mag-break. But hindi kami natuloy," Bea told Small.
Without getting into detail about what happened, Bea recalled how Dominic made her realize some things are worth fighting for.
"Actually, bilib din ako sa kaniya because he always wants to really make it work. Siguro because nobody's perfect, I'm not perfect. There are times that parang sa sobrang paso ko, iniisip ko, 'I'm good at goodbyes.' Alam ko na 'to eh. Ito na naman ako. Parang ganon," Bea admitted.
"But then he makes me realize that, you know, hindi naman... it shouldn't end that way and that it shouldn't end at all," she shared, "that there are parts of a relationship that can be worked out and these are the things that could make you better as a couple because kapag napagdaanan niyo na 'to, mas titibay kayo bilang couple."
Small also asked Bea if she's ready to get married and have kids at this point in her life. To which, the latter replied: "Definitely."
"Siyempre, I'm in my 30s. Definitely, but right now kasi medyo packed ang work. Darating din 'yung panahon eh and I also believe that we have our own timeline. Hindi porket lahat ng tao my age are getting married, it doesn't mean that I need to get married, too. I know that I have my own timeline."
Bea first sparked dating rumors with Dominic in 2020. After months of being spotted together in similar locations, the GMA-7 star confirmed their romance in August 2021, saying it “just came out naturally.”
“It’s not like I was trying to hide it. I think I was just trying to be careful given my past experience. Syempre gusto kong masiguro muna kung saan siya pupunta bago siya gawing official,” she said in an exclusive interview with 24 Oras.
The couple marked their second anniversary in January.
