Andi Eigenmann's fiancé Philmar Alipayo undegoes procedure to check heart defect
Andi Eigenmann rested easy as she revealed that her fiancé Philmar Alipayo had undergone a medical test for his congenital heart defect, which ended on a positive note.
Through her Instagram stories, Andi posted several updates regarding her partner's situation as he went through a transesophageal echocardiogram.
According to the American Heart Association, this is a test that produces pictures of your heart through high-frequency sound waves and is used to find problems in your heart’s structure and function.
"Well wishes for papa Philmar as he goes under a transesophageal echocardiogram procedure today to relieve a bit of difficulty he has been experiencing from a congenital heart defect. Hopefully, he will be back to his 💯 soon after," Andi wrote.
She then urged her followers to always display kindness towards other people, noting, "You never have any idea what people are dealing with in their personal life. So just be nice. It's that simple."

Philmar meanwhile turned to his own Instagram story to ask for prayers amid his medical checkup.
"Big day for me today, going for my transesophageal echocardiogram so that I can finally go to my 💯 athletic mode again. Need your 🙏🙏🙏," he wrote.
Centers for Disease and Control Prevention detailed that congenital heart defects are conditions that are present at birth and can affect a baby's heart structure, but with the right medical care, the defect shouldn't pose a problem going into adulthood.
Fortunately, it looks like Philmar's health is nothing to be concerned about as Andi revealed that the tests "turned out better than expected" and that the champion surfer is "good to go again."
Philmar then thanked the local star for her support, writing, "I love you so much, Andi."
Andi got into a relationship with Philmar in 2018. They got engaged in December 2020.
While they initially planned to tie the knot this year, the pair decided to postpone their wedding following the death of Andi's mother, veteran actress Jaclyn Jose. Andi said that their special day was supposed to be dedicated to Jaclyn, and while she’s still grieving over her death, she is hoping to focus on the good things.
