Neuwave cancels EPICON 2023 ticket selling hours before scheduled date
The ticket selling for the upcoming K-pop event EPICON 2023 has been canceled by Neuwave Events & Productions a few hours before its scheduled date.
On Friday night, March 17, the concert organizer announced on social media that the pre-sale for EPICON 2023 scheduled on March 18 and the official ticket-selling date scheduled on March 19 are canceled.
“We want to thank you for your unwavering support and excitement for EPICON 2023,” the organization wrote.
“However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are cancelling the pre sale and official ticket sale on March 18 and 19 respectively. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” they continued.
The organization asks concertgoers to wait for further announcements.
The event has been making rounds online especially when they revealed former 2NE1 member Minzy as the first artist for the lineup, with Dara as the event’s host. Shortly after fans clamored to include Park Bom and CL for another 2NE1 reunion.
Frustrated fans expressed dismay and confusion with the cancellation of the ticket selling, pointing out the lack of context especially since the event is just two weeks away.
“You should properly explain the situation. Is the event still happening or not? Are you chaning the artists lineup?” a Twitter user wrote.
“Kung ako sa inyo. Huwag nyo nang ituloy. EPICFAIL!!! Nakakahiya kay Dara and Minzy.” another user wrote.
EPICON 2023 is set to be held on April 1, featuring K-pop artists and groups from the first to fourth generations of K-pop, allowing concertgoers to witness how the industry has evolved over the years.
