Drag performer Jiggly Caliente loses most of her leg after suffering severe infection
The family of Jiggly Caliente announced that the drag performer experienced a "serious health setback," which caused her to lose most of her right leg.
The Filipina drag queen will be missing the upcoming season of Drag Race Philippines and other public engagements for the foreseeable future, her family said in a statement.
"Due to a severe infection, she was hospitalized and, as a result, had undergone the loss of most of her right leg," they wrote on April 24.
"Her recovery will be extensive."
The family went on to ask for privacy for Jiggly amid her health issue.
"While Jiggly concentrates on healing, we invite her friends, fans, and community to uplift her with messages of hope and love on her social media channels. Bianca's family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers."
Jiggly's fellow drag queens and friends in the entertainment industry wished her a good recovery.
"I love you so much. Can't wait to see you again," wrote RuPaul's Drag Race All Star Jujubee.
"Maaaaa. I love you so much.. Pagaling ka," Drag Race Philippines season 1 winner Precious Paula Nicole commented.
"Love you ate! Sending all love to you and your family! We are here for youuu!" RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. The World star Marina Summers said.
"We love you!" added Pia Wurtzbach.
Jiggly appeared on the fourth season of RPDR and the sixth season of RPDR All Stars. She also starred as Veronica Ferocity on Pose and served as a main judge on the first three seasons of Drag Race Philippines.
