'Percy Jackson' star Alexandra Daddario is pregnant again after suffering from miscarriage
Alexandra Daddario announced that she is going to be a mom again after revealing that she previously suffered from a miscarriage.
The Percy Jackson star shared the good news in an interview with Vogue, where she said that she and her husband Andrew Form had kept her pregnancy under wraps for six months. They finally decided to let the public know about it when she vomited in the middle of the road and onlookers thought she was "drunk."
"I want to be able to not have to hide and have someone print a photo of me eating a bagel at the bodega," she said.
Despite trying to keep it a secret at first, her castmates on the comedy-drama series The White Lotus quickly suspected that she was about to be a mother due to her frequent morning sickness incidents and were supportive of her.
"I have wonderful co-stars who have kids, and everyone was very understanding about making out with a nauseous, vomiting girl," she said.
This is not the first time that Daddario became pregnant, however, as she opened up about how she had suffered from a miscarriage in the past.
"I had loss. It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific," the actress said, noting how "those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain."
"I really relate to all the women who have been through those kinds of things in a way that I didn’t understand fully before. It’s very, very painful," she continued.
When Daddario had her second chance to have a child again, she admitted that she had a "lot of complicated feelings" about it and that it was "actually quite hard to process" for her given her career in the entertainment industry.
"I was so overwhelmed with work. Part of me was like, This is the worst thing ever. Then part of me was like, This is actually a great distraction. Because I’m not sitting there all day long in my house going, 'If I pick up this pot to make pasta, is something bad going to happen? If I eat this pasta, is something bad going to happen?'"
According to the entertainment outlet, Daddario and her husband are currently on a vacation on the East End of Long Island, where her family has been going since she was a kid.
The two went public with their romance in May 2021 through a black-and-white photo of them kissing before getting engaged at the end of that year. They finally tied the knot in an intimate wedding in New Orleans in 2022.
Prior to The White Lotus, Daddario rose to fame as Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson film series as well for starring in movies such as Texas Chainsaw 3D, San Andreas, and Baywatch.
