'Heated Rivalry' stars Connor Storrie, Hudson Williams are going to be Olympic torchbearers
Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams are ready to turn up the heat in the Winter Olympics.
HBO Max, which streams the Crave Original series, announced that the actors, who play hockey players in the steamy hit series, are going to be official torchbearers in the Olympic Torch Relay in Milan.
The exact date and location for their run have yet to be revealed.
The Winter Olympics are set to open on Feb. 6. There will be two cauldrons for the Olympic flame: Milan and Cortina.
In Heated Rivalry, Connor and Hudson play rivals Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander, respectively. The show, based on the Game Changer books by Rachel Reid, follows their near-decade-long situationship.
The show also stars Francois Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova.
When it debuted on HBO Max, the series garnered 30 million streaming minutes, according to Luminate. By the season finale, viewership reached 324 million minutes.
The two stars were also catapulted to fame. Recently, they presented the award for Best Supporting Female Actor at the 83rd Golden Globes. Hudson also made the rounds online for his appearance in Milan Fashion Week, where he walked the runway for Dsquared2.
In December, the show was confirmed to return for a second season, with Connor telling TODAY that production is likely to start by summer.
The Winter Olympics opening ceremony will also feature performances from piano virtuoso Lang Lang, Mariah Carey, and Andrea Bocelli.
Two Filipino athletes will be representing the Philippines in the giant slalom and slalom events.
