The mother of missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon expressed her hope to reunite with her daughter soon so they could spend Christmas as a family.

Rose Camilon recently reposted a video from a Facebook user that read, "Darating na ang Pasko. Kung may hihilingin man ako sa Diyos araw-araw, 'yun ay bigyan pa ako ng tapang at lakas upang harapin lahat ng pagsubok sa aking buhay at ingatan ang mga mahal ko sa buhay."

She accompanied it with a caption about her only holiday wish this year. "Tanging ikaw, anak, at ang ating buong pamilya ang lagi kong hihilingin na mabuo, lalo ngayong malapit na ang Pasko," she wrote. "Sana makasama ka namin, anak. Miss na miss ka na namin."

Rose also penned a touching message for her missing daughter in October. "Ikaw ay aming hinihintay na. Saan ka man nandodoon, ikaw ay umuwi na dito sa atin," Rose said.

In a Facebook post on Oct. 13, Catherine's sister Chin-Chin asked the beauty queen's colleague who was with her the night before she went missing to help them reach her. Chin-Chin said Catherine called at 8 p.m. on Oct. 12, but her phone went dead the next morning.

Catherine was last spotted in a shopping mall in Lemery hours before she was reported missing. She, however, last told her mother that she was at a gasoline station in Bauan.

The beauty queen said she’d go to Batangas City for a meeting with Balisong Channel, an online media company where she was a former talent. But Balisong Channel said she didn't visit its office and was last there on Dec. 13, 2021.

Four suspects have been sued for kidnapping and illegal detention in relation to Camilon's disappearance, including Police Major Allan de Castro, who admitted to having an "illicit relationship" with her, Allan’s personal driver and bodyguard Jeffrey Magpantay, and two John Does.

Two witnesses, who recently came forward to help with the investigation, said Jeffrey was one of the three men that they spotted transferring a bloodied woman from one vehicle to another the night before Catherine disappeared. The sports utility vehicle tagged in the case has been recovered by the Batangas City Police Station at a vacant lot along the corner of Dumuclay Road and Star Tollway in Barangay Pallocan East.

Police are looking into new evidence in the case after discovering strands of hair and blood samples in the car, with some that matched the DNA of her parents. Screenshots of messages also revealed that the beauty queen was being abused by Allan.

Catherine, who's also a public school teacher in Tuy, joined Miss Grand Philippines last July, during which Nikki De Moura of Cagayan de Oro won the crown.
