Solenn Heussaff to showcase artworks in Japan exhibit this September
Solenn Heussaff is among the artists included in the upcoming art exhibit in Japan this September.
The actress took to Instagram to share that she will be joining the upcoming art exhibit Finopinas which be open from Sept. 3 to 15 at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub (107-6205 Tokyo, Minato City, Akasaka, 9 Chome-7-1). The private viewing will be held on Sept. 2, while the whole exhibit will be open to the public starting Sept. 3.
Curated by Stephanie Frondoso, the art exhibit will showcase the Philippine contemporary culture, and will celebrate the “enigmatic, vigorous landscape of Philippine art.”
Other artists included in the lineup are Andres Barrioquinto, Arturo Sanchez Jr., Brave Singh, Clark Manalo, Is Jumalon, John Marin, Kim Hamilton Suilt, Lotsu Manes, Lui Gonzales, Mark Rocha Padernal, Olivia d'Aboville, and Renato "Jojo" Barja Jr.
“So blessed to be amongst the artists to showcase my work in Japan,” Solenn wrote.
“Looking forward to the critics, good or bad that help me grow as an artist,” she wrote in a separate post.
As per the Provenance Art Gallery, the upcoming exhibition is in partnership with the Philippine Embassy of Japan, the Department of Trade & Industry Philippines-Tokyo, Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Tokyo, the Center of International Trade Expositions & Missions, ASEAN-Japan Centre, and the Japan Institute of Design Promotion.
Apart from her acting career, Solenn is also known for her talent in painting. In 2021, she held a solo exhibit dubbed Kundiman at the MODEKA Art Gallery.
