Alex Eala tells fans as she leaves PH: 'Never been prouder to represent home'
Alex Eala had some heartfelt words for her fans as she left the Philippines to compete in the upcoming US Open.
In her Instagram stories, the Filipino tennis star took the time to express her gratitude to her supporters for their warm welcome during her short stay in her home country.
"Maraming salamat sa pagtanggap sa akin, mga kababayan! Each and every one of your stories has touched me on a profound level," she wrote.
"I leave with a refreshed memory of what I carry when I'm out there playing tennis. And wow, is it a privilege to be part of something bigger than myself. Never been prouder to represent home."
Eala is now set to compete in the Mubadala DC Open in Washington, D.C., where she is expected to partner up once again with American tennis icon Venus Williams for the doubles draw of the competition on July 27.

Eala and Williams previously paired up during the Bad Homburg Open 2026 in Germany. They reached the quarterfinal, where they lost to Tereza Mihalikova and Olivia Nicholls.
