Anne Curtis mourns father's death: 'We will miss him dearly'
Anne Curtis announced the death of her father James E. Curtis-Smith. He was 82.
The actress broke the news on Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 7, tagging her siblings Jasmine and Charley.
"A true patriarch in every sense, he shaped us with strength, resilience, and a wit that will forever echo in our family," she captioned her post showing photos of her dad.
"He was deeply loved, endlessly admired, and will live on in our hearts always. We will miss him dearly," she continued.
Anne's friends in showbiz expressed their sympathies in the comments section of her post.
"Hayden and I are so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing, Anne. I know you’ve been dreading this day would happen," Vicki Belo wrote.
"Sorry to hear this, Anne. Sending all my love. Our prayers and deepest condolences," singer and It's Showtime co-host Karylle commented.
"Condolence Annie!" wrote Teddy Corpuz, who is also Curtis' co-host on the noontime show.
The cause of her father's death has not yet been disclosed as of writing, though Anne described it as "unexpected yet peaceful."
