In October 2025, the wax museum, which has 20 branches all over the world, announced it would be immortalizing the Filipino "box office queen" in its Hong Kong branch, in the same city where Bernardo shot her hit film Hello, Love, Goodbye with Alden Richards.
Speaking with PhilSTAR L!fe prior to the announcement, Bernardo said the wax museum's gesture was an honor.
"It's very overwhelming, but at the same time, it feels good to be recognized and for them to pick me to represent my country and being the youngest pa," she told L!fe.
Sharing Bernardo's excitement was Wade Chang, general manager of Merlin Entertainments Hong Kong, who recognized the strength of the Filipino market in Hong Kong. He described Bernardo as "an inspiring artist who has worked tirelessly to achieve her success."
Bernardo, 29, joins several Filipino personalities with their own wax replicas in the Hong Kong museum, including Manny Pacquiao, Pia Wutzbach, Catriona Gray, and Anne Curtis. Lea Salonga's statue, meanwhile, is in the Singapore branch on Sentosa Island.
Other celebrities with their wax statues in the same branch include Hyun Bin, Chris Hemsworth, Rihanna, Kim Soo-hyun, Dwayne Johnson, Angelina Jolie, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Lady Gaga.
