New romance: Did Sarah Lahbati just hard-launch her new boyfriend on Instagram?

Sarah Lahbati marked her 33rd birthday on Oct. 9 with two Instagram Stories that seemed to subtly tease a romantic update on her personal life.
Along with the birthday greeting posts from friends she reposted, Lahbati included three photos uploaded by a certain @schmikmikmik.
One of them showed Lahbati in a yellow bandeau top, white shorts, and flip-flops taking a mirror selfie with the mystery man smiling beside her, wearing black shorts and a black-and-white polo. They appeared to be standing inside a restaurant.
"Happy birthday to this wonder woman," he wrote, capping it off with balloon and birthday cake emojis.
The next photo was a solo shot of Lahbati, playfully posing on top of a kitchen island.
Solid confirmation seemed to come in the third shot, where Lahbati, in a black one-piece, clung to her rumored beau while he held her as he stood waist-deep in the sea.
Aside from the man's Instagram account name, Lahbati shared nothing about him in her Stories or elsewhere on her social media, as of writing.
This playful hard launch came over two years after Lahbati and her former husband, actor Richard Gutierrez, confirmed their separation in March 2024. Rumors of their split began in late 2023, when the two stopped posting photos of them together.
By January 2024, the former couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. The following month, Lahbati admitted in an interview with Frontline Pilipinas that although she and Gutierrez were not speaking to each other, they were still following a co-parenting set-up for their sons Zion, 14, and Kai, 8.
The former couple is still in the process of annulling their marriage.
Gutierrez has also moved on. In January 2026, he confirmed his relationship with co-star Barbie Imperial.
