Carla Abellana shares wedding video: 'A love story over 20 years in the making'
Carla Abellana's fairy tale ending has come true, and everyone can watch it unfold in her wedding video.
On Dec. 27, the actress married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Reginald Santos, at an intimate wedding in Tagaytay. It was a slow-burn love story that began over 20 years ago, making it an even sweeter occasion.
"Sometimes the bad things that happen to us in our lives put us directly on the path towards the most wonderful things that will ever happen to us. Who would have known it was still going to be us in the end?" she said during her vows.
"I can still vividly remember. We were in high school. We were young back then. We fell in love, and then life had interim plans for us," said Santos.
"I can never imagine my life, or what life would be had we never met again. I've never laughed so good, eaten so much, slept so comfortably, learned a lot about life, communicated well, been taken care of this way, and so much more before you happened again," added Abellana.
"Having you back in my life made me feel better about everything. Everything is more enjoyable now from our simple TV nights to traveling the world with you; life is beautiful because you are in it," said Santos.

Who is Carla Abellana's husband?
Fiercely private on social media, there are few available details about Dr. Reginald C. Santos.
He is the chief medical officer at the Diliman Doctors Hospital. According to online medical platform Serious MD, he is a primary care physician with 12 years of practice. The platform also says Santos graduated in 2012 from Far Eastern University – Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation.
Santos and Abellana met in high school, fell in love, but eventually broke up.
In 2021, Abellana had a tumultuous marriage with fellow actor Tom Rodriguez in 2021, but their union lasted only a few months. They finalized their divorce in June 2022.
The actress began giving hints on social media middle of this year that she had a new relationship, sharing photos of their feet or hands. By December, she still hadn't revealed who the mystery man was, but confirmed during a segment in Fast Talk With Boy Abunda that she was engaged to him.
