Maja Salvador has revealed why she pursued her now-fiancé Rambo Nuñez despite her personal rule of never dating exes.

In the May 22 episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the "King of Talk" asked what happened to her thing of not returning to exes only to end up marrying one. "Siguro po kasi 'yung time namin dati, saglit lang. Parang three, four months kami when I was 21 years old. His family also," Maja began.

The bride-to-be mentioned how during her brief dating experience with Rambo, the latter's mother, Marilen, made her feel like she's part of the family.

The One More Chance star revealed that her future mother-in-law even sent a recording of her interview with the actress in their group chat saying, "Rambo, bakit hindi na lang siya ulit?" Little did she know that her son was already starting to rekindle his romance with Maja at the time.

The actress then opened up about feeling equally "excited and scared" about her upcoming wedding in July.

Boy then asked his guest what it was she saw in Rambo this time that wasn't there in their previous four-month dating experience.

"But since love niya ako, nag-sacrifice din siya.

Asked about her lesson in love given her personal but public experience, Maja said: "Kapag marriage na, Tito Boy, iba na. This time, hindi ka na matatakot nang todo dahil meron nang isang taong hindi ka papabayaan, alam mong lagi kang ipagtatanggol, at alam mong lagi mong kakampi kahit anong mangyari."

Maja and Rambo have been dating for four years since they got back together, as the actress confirmed in March 2019. They announced their engagement in April 2022.
