Rabiya Mateo has a unique business dream—she wants to someday have her own funeral business.

The beauty queen talked about her dream, which stemmed from her interest in cosmetics, in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

"Nag start kasi 'yan dati. Hindi ko gusto ang mga makeup ng mga patay. Masyado maputi, masyado manipis ang kilay. So sabi ko, 'Why not [have my own business]?' Sitempre, last few days na lang nila na makikita sila ng pamilya nila so soon nag start ang idea," Rabiya said.

The former Miss Universe Philippines also shared that she had experience working with corpses in college.

"Hindi ako takot sa patay. Naniniwala ako na mayroong Diyos at kung ano man entity meron dito sa mundo. Kasi 'yung background ko during my PT school, part ng pag-aaral namin nag-open kami ng cadaver and bangkay talaga so hindi naman ako natatakot," she told ABS-CBN News.

Rabiya added that she's taking it slow to begin the business.

She also said her boyfriend Jeric Gonzales is supportive of her plans, according to a Manila Bulletin report.

In 2020, Rabiya won the title of Miss Universe Philippines and later represented the country on the international stage where her journey finished in the top 21.

Aside from pageantry, the beauty queen is a Physical Therapist Registered in the Philippines (PTRP).
