Bea Alonzo answers the possibility of being friends again with Gerald Anderson: 'Siguro hindi'
Bea Alonzo didn't mince words in talking about the possibility of being friends again with her ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson.
On the Jan. 26 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the Kapuso actress answered issues about her life, including her split with actor Gerald Anderson in 2019.
During the interview, the TV host asked the actress what she felt when he interviewed her ex in 2021, noting that the TV host was thinking "How will Bea feel?" throughout the interview.
"Gusto ko lang malaman Bea. Nagtampo ka ba sa akin?" the King of Talk asked.
Bea answered, "Oo, kasi tao lang ako Tito Boy. Pero I'm so glad na sinabi mong iniisip mo ako. Kasi 'yun ang tumatakbo sa isip ko noon, na parang, 'Iniisip kaya ako ni Tito Boy? Kung ano ang nararamdaman ko?'"
The actress went on to reveal that she was hurt by the interview as it became an avenue for Gerald to tell lies about their relationship.
"Siyempre tao lang ako, kahit sino siguro ang mag-interview sa kaniya at that time, it would hurt, especially kung half the time he wasn't telling the truth," Bea recounted.
The TV host then apologized to the actress for hurting her with the interview. "I know I was doing my job but yes I was thinking about you," he added.
He then asked Bea which part of the interview her ex-boyfriend wasn't telling the truth. Bea answered, "Siguro 'yung pinakamalaking pagsisinungaling niya was that he never ghosted me, because he did."
He went on to ask if there is a possibility of being friends again with him given that she remained good friends with Zanjoe Marudo, with whom she was in a relationship for six years before Gerald.
Bea directly answered, "Hindi, because I can never be friends with somebody I cannot trust and somebody who doesn't take responsibility for his actions. So, siguro hindi."
Bea and Gerald made rounds on social media with their controversial breakup in 2019. When asked about their split, Bea answered, "Honestly, to my understanding, we did not break up. He just started not talking to me."
Gerald is now in a relationship with Julia Barretto, who was rumored to be the third party in his and Bea's relationship. Bea, on the other hand, has found love once again in actor Dominique Roque. They celebrated their first anniversary on Jan. 29, 2022.
