Andre Paras defends brother Kobe from social media user who bashed him and linked him to another woman

Andre Paras defended his brother Kobe Paras from a social media user who bashed the latter amid speculations that he and Kyline Alcantara have broken up.

In a Facebook post on April 15, Andre shared a screenshot of the page of Magandang Bulaklak, a still of its Reel with the text that read, "Life style niya parang nakawala sa hawla," and its post compiling photos of Kobe and his friends with the caption, "So ito ang gusto mo sa buhay mo Kobe walwal lang nang walwal? With these guys at sino na naman yang babae na yan?"

The Facebook page, which has 56,000 followers, shares updates about Kyline's life.

"Kobe is with his friends and he’s having fun. They are doing it in the right place and time. They are in a club. It’s legal to have fun and make noise there right?" Andre said.

"If you really cared about KyBe then you will not be doing this at all," he added, referring to the couple.

Andre noted that he knows what such kind of Facebook page is trying to do by making his brother "look bad."

"Since magaling kayo magstalk eh 'di dapat alam niyo 'yung mga kasama na babae dyan ay ang mga girlfriend ng mga friends ni Kobe?" he said. "Pero of course 'di mo sasabihin sa followers mo 'yan dahil gusto mo gumawa ng issue."

Andre pointed out that in social media, issues turned into views lead to monetary gains.

"I understand how addicting it is to get views and comments on a social media post," he said. "But doing it this way? Nako po. Using others name and private life for clicks and views? If you’re monetizing this then it will say a lot about what you’re trying to do ma'am."

Andre then intimated about taking legal action against the page, warning it not to "even try" deleting its videos about Kobe or blocking him.

"You’ll just be tampering with evidence," he said.

In concluding his post, Andre noted, "I'm his kuya and I have the right to stand up for him against people like you who only care about making him look bad," he said.

Andre didn't explicitly confirm nor deny the breakup speculations between Kobe and Kyline.

Previously, however, their father Benjie Paras shut down the breakup rumors, telling entertainment site PEP.ph, "Sila pa rin." He added that they had a drinking session recently.

Kobe and Kyline confirmed that they were dating in November 2024.

They sparked breakup rumors when eagle-eyed social media users noticed that they deleted some of their couple photos on their Instagram accounts. These included snaps of them from their date at a Makati bar, as well as one of their Palawan trips. A picture from when they watched a basketball game together in Los Angeles in California can also no longer be found on their feeds.

The pair has yet to directly address the split speculations.
