Lil Tay's account accuses father of faking her death; he says it's 'completely false'

The cruel hoax against Lil Tay and his brother continues.

The young rapper, 14, claimed on Instagram that her father, Christopher J. Hope, was the mastermind behind her fake death, which went viral last month.

The post of Lil Tay, born Claire Hope, showed a picture of Christopher and a text that said, “My abusive, racist, misogynistic, woman beating father faked my death.”

However, Christopher denied this allegation, saying it is "100% false."

According to TMZ, the Canada-based attorney said that Lil Tay’s post and anyone repeating the false accusation and libelous allegation “are virtually certain to become defendants in a defamation lawsuit.”

“Everything stated is 100% false, and I trust that this should be obvious to anyone who knows me or the long history of absurd and untrue statements made by the various people who have controlled the Instagram account,” Christopher added.

Christopher also took to Instagram saying that Lil Tay is a pathological liar with a screenshot of Lil Tay’s previous Instagram story, which showed a photo of a hand holding a passport but there was no text. Christopher, on his account, wrote: “If Tay leaves Vancouver, it’s over for her! @liltay get back home now! I demand you.”

Christopher and Lil Tay’s mother, Angela Tian, has been involved in a custody battle for years, according to a report by Daily Mail.

Angela broke her silence last month as she and Christopher have agreed to $275,000 (P15.6 million) in child support until Lil Tay reaches adulthood.

The social media star will be living with her mother, and Angela will have sole decision-making power, according to a statement.

The false death statement was posted on Aug. 9 on Lil Tay’s Instagram but was removed a day after the young influencer told TMZ she and her brother were alive.

It was said that her Instagram account was compromised and used to spread rumors about her and her brother.

“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess,” Lil Tay told TMZ last Aug. 10.

The original false death statement was returned to Lil Tay’s account but is now flagged as “false information.”
