Pia Wurtzbach got stuck in an elevator at Paris Fashion Week
What would you do if you got stuck in an elevator? This ordeal happened to Pia Wurtzbach while she was at Paris Fashion Week.
The former Miss Universe took to Instagram to share the experience that she said was something she "only saw in the movies."
Pia was with her sister Sarah and photographer-videographer Magic Liwanag when they were taking a lift to go to their first show. The beauty queen talked about how she had four shows happening on that day.
After pressing the button on their destination floor, they noticed the elevator wasn't moving. They continued to push the numbers on other floors and even tap their key card but it still didn't budge.
The trio began calling for help, pressing the emergency alarm. Their companions downstairs also reported the issue to reception.
"I can't make this up. We're actually really [stuck]," Pia said.
She and her sister began greeting Magic as it was his birthday.
"It looks like you're not gonna make the first show," Sarah said.
"And it's not because I'm late like... All you can do is smile. All you can do is laugh about it, right?" the Miss Universe 2015 titleholder answered.
"You know, this fashion week? Expect the unexpected!" she added.
When the lift was finally opened, they told the staff member who helped that they were stuck for about 10 to 15 minutes.
The three continued to head to their first Paris Fashion Week show.
In a separate Instagram Reel, Pia chronicled her experience in France.
"Amidst the fun and chaos, my team and I found joy in shared laughs, fun meals and hurried outfit changes in the car," she wrote in the caption.
"This Couture Week marked a special milestone for me (it was my first)—immersed in the breathtaking gowns, intricate details, and sheer opulence that kept me excited and fully immersed in the whole experience."
