Moira and Jason’s colleague makes claims about their split based on his ‘personal experiences’ with the ex-couple
Moira Dela Torre and Jason Hernandez's colleague broke his silence about the breakup of the ex-couple, noting that he shared only what he believes he knows about the story based on his “personal experiences” with the two.
Lyricist and composer Lolito Go’s Facebook post made the rounds online on Sunday, May 28, where he claimed that Moira is “more of an oppressor than a victim.”
“I have been itching to write about this a few months ago pa. Hindi ko na kasi ma-take ang pambabash ng publiko kay Jason. But Jason stopped me because he still wanted to protect Moira,” he revealed.
Refusing to be neutral this time, Go pointed out how Jason “took all the blame, took all the bashing in the name of love” since they called it quits. “Yes, nagkasala sya. Pero walang third party on Jason's side. He never fell in love with anyone else. His only sin was he listened to the call of flesh and availed of illicit massage service because Moira couldn't fulfill his sexual needs.”
The musician went on to reveal that Moira already found someone else even before Jason admitted that he made a mistake. “Even before Jason confessed to his sin, Moira already wanted out. Dahil nakahanap na rin sya ng pamalit,” he wrote, hinting that it’s “someone who will ‘dance in the rain’ with her and call her ‘binibini.’”
He also alleged that "95% of Moira’s hits" were composed by her ex, including Paubaya, Ikaw at Ako, Pabilin, EDSA, Patawad, Kumpas, Babalik Sayo, and Saglit. “He was willing to go down history as the only only bad guy, the only one who made a mistake, but Moira kept singing and releasing defamatory songs about Jason, filling up Araneta Coliseum and touring the world with one purpose for her shows: to get people’s sympathy.”
The musician ended his post by expressing his hope for Moira and Jason’s healing as they continue to deal with the aftermath of their split. “In the grand tapestry of existence, let their individual melodies intertwine once more, not as a means to recreate the past, but as a testament to their growth and resilience. May the symphony of their lives continue, enriched by the lessons learned, the wounds healed, and the melodies yet to be discovered,” he wrote.
According to Go, Moira used to be his friend, with whom he worked on various songs like Titibo-tibo as well as arrangements for events like the grand finals of Himig Handog in 2017, where he also met Jason. He claimed that he was “not paid a single penny” for the songs he wrote and recalled an instance when he “was not even included in the credits” of one of their collaborations uploaded on Spotify. “Kung hindi ko pa pinuna, hindi nya pa ire-rectify.”
Go alleged that Moira makes the people she needs “feel loved and cared for.” But they had a falling out last year when he was asked to ghost-write his songs and received an offer much lower than his asking pay. “I felt so insulted. But I just kept that to myself. When I finally had enough May last year, I blocked her in FB and Messenger complete with a long breakup letter.”

Jeff Vadillo, the vice president of Moira’s agency Cornerstone Entertainment, stood by their artist in a Facebook post as he addressed the claim that a huge chunk of her hit songs was composed by her ex-husband. “That statement is grossly inaccurate,” he wrote.
“Paubaya and EDSA were both composed by Jason (this is public knowledge. Actually, Moira also helped in Paubaya), the other songs Ikaw at Ako, Pabilin, Patawad, Kumpas, Babalik Sayo were composed by both Moira and Jason (Moira even gave a bigger contribution to some of those songs). So as far as these songs are concerned, walang gamitan. Tawag diyan, collaboration,” he said, noting that such “does not make Moira any less of a powerhouse songwriter.”
“Saglit is composed by Moira, not to mention the entire Malaya album which includes the mega hits Malaya, Tagu-Taguan, Take Her to the Moon, and Tagpuan. It is also worth noting that her debut album is what jumpstarted Moira’s career and put her on the map.”
The talent manager added that having known Moira for nearly two decades, she “would never need the service of a ghostwriter for her songs/compositions (which this other person is claiming na tumawad pa daw si Moira to the tune of P20,000).”
“Why would she pay when she is more than capable of doing it herself? Hindi pa siya sikat, sumusuka ng songs after songs si Moira. Doon sa nagsabi nun—are you implying na mas magaling kang songwriter kaysa sa kanya?” questioned Jeff.
“Stop invalidating the work of a hardworking woman. She does not deserve this,” he concluded.
Jason and Moira have not responded to the viral claims of both parties as of this writing. PhilSTAR L!fe has also reached out to their management, but has yet to receive a reply.
The musicians exchanged wedding vows on Jan. 8, 2019, two years since they became a couple in February 2017. The two met as Music Production students at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde back in 2012. In May 2022, they decided to part ways after Jason confessed he was "unfaithful to her during their marriage."
