Carlo Aquino says he's hoping to marry Charlie Dizon: 'Ilang taon na ako'
Carlo Aquino is hopeful about spending the rest of his life with Charlie Dizon.
When asked about the possibility of settling down and tying the knot with the love of his life soon, the actor replied with: "Sana, oo."
"Kasi ilang taon na ako, ilang taon na si Charlie," he explained in an interview with entertainment portal PEP.ph.
The actress recently sparked engagement speculations with Carlo after being spotted with a ring in several occasions. Carlo, however, denied the rumors and pointed out that she simply loves wearing rings. "Lagi naman 'yung… tingnan niyo, ngayon, may suot din siya. Hindi galing sa akin 'yun," he said.
Charlie confirmed her relationship with Carlo in July 2023, marking the first time she went public with her love life. It came after seven months of dating rumors, which began when Charlie posted a photo with Carlo as well as their non-showbiz friends at a holiday dinner.
"Opo, boyfriend ko po. Sobrang supportive din. Ay, first time ko sinabi sa inyo 'yan," she said during a guest appearance on TV5's Gud Morning Kapatid.
She revealed that they started out as friends in one of their projects years ago, but only got to know each other in 2022 during an international tour under their agency.
In the same interview, the actress shared how their different personalities balance out and complement each other.
"Paano nag-click? 'Di ko alam eh, kasi makuwento talaga akong tao. Tapos siya 'yung tahimik, so siguro dun, na-balance," she opened up.
Carlo was previously with Trina Candaza, with whom he shares a daughter named Mithi.
