It's another milestone for Kim Chiu and Julia Barretto!

The actresses are among the nominees at this year's Asian Television Awards, with Kim vying for Best Actress in a Leading Role for the Philippine remake of the K-drama, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim while Julia is nominated as Best Leading Female in a Digital Series for Secret Ingredient.

As seen on the website of the prestigious award show, Kim will be up against Robyn Malcolm from After the Party, Zhou Xun from Imperfect Victim, Wu Jin-Yan from The Double, Charmaine Sheh and Selena Lee from The QUEEN of News, and Ma Sichun and Xu Fan from Islands.

The local star shared the good news on her X account, writing, "Hala!!!! Nakaka iyak naman to!!!"

Kim stars in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim alongside Paulo Avelino. It follows a competent secretary and a narcissistic boss as they fall in love while uncovering a traumatic past that causes them to question whether their feelings are real or the result of a shared trauma.

The theme song of the series has also earned a nomination for Best Theme Song.

Kim's nomination comes after she represented the Philippines as a recipient of the Outstanding Asian Star Award at the 2024 Seoul International Drama Awards.

Julia, on the other hand, was recognized alongside Jessica Hsuan from Kill Sera Sera, Fang Rong from Last Madame: Sisters of the Night, and Bao Shang-En from The Legend of Heroes - Hot Blooded.

Secret Ingredient, also up for Best Original Digital Series, centers on a Korean man who gives up his entire luxurious life in Seoul in search of his childhood girlfriend. Julia leads the series with Sang Heon Lee and Nicholas Saputra.
