Lovi Poe shares why she and her husband are keeping their daughter's face private for now
Lovi Poe shared why she and her husband Monty Blencowe have yet to show their baby girl's face to the public.
During her recent appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the actress was asked why she and Monty have chosen to keep their little one's face private despite occasionally sharing glimpses of their lives as parents.
“Probably, this is what works for us at the moment,” she said, adding that privacy and the way the internet works today have played a role in their decision.
Lovi also clarified that this is something that she and Monty continue to discuss, leaving open the possibility of introducing their baby to the public in the future.
"Kasi parang eventually, I think it'll be nice to share this beautiful treasure that we have,” she continued.
In the same interview, Lovi revealed their daughter's name: Sloane.
“Sloane means warrior,” she said. “It's not common."
For her, the name also carries a message she hopes her daughter will grow up believing about herself. “I want her to grow up thinking that she's a fighter and, you know, that she can—she's a tough cookie,” she said.
Lovi as a mother
Sloane recently turned 11 months old and is currently in the US. Lovi, meanwhile, is in the Philippines for work, making this the first time she has been separated from her daughter.
“Malungkot ako kasi ilang days ako dito malayo sa kanya,” she said. “Yes, it's tough.”
Lovi looked back on the challenges she faced while giving birth to Sloane, sharing that she went through preeclampsia, which caused high blood pressure, and was in labor for 30 hours.
According to the actress, her first moments of motherhood were not similar to the ones often portrayed in films. “It's not like in the movies where it's instant, but then yung mother instinct mo bigla siyang mag-hit.”
She remembered suddenly worrying about everything—from whether Sloane had eaten to whether she was producing enough milk.
“What should I do? Should I try to breastfeed? Am I producing enough? Ang dami kong questions,” she recalled.
Days later, however, Lovi found herself overwhelmed by a different kind of emotion as she watched her daughter. “[It's] the certain love that you can't even explain. Parang this is no joke—now I know exactly what love means,” she said. “I've been singing so many songs, you know, and have fallen in love with so many things, but this is different.”
She also opened up about gaining a deeper appreciation for her own mother after having a child and reflected on how her own mother had watched her grow from a baby into the woman she is today.
“It must have been a roller coaster ride of emotions,” she said. “You want to keep them at a certain age. Now I want to hold this and cherish this moment forever. But you have to love your child at every stage.”
Lovi shared that she welcomed her baby girl with Monty in October 2025. The couple started dating in 2019 and got married in August 2023 in England.
