‘Yes, yes’: McCoy de Leon says he’s ‘happy’ with Elisse Joson
After weeks of reconciliation rumors, McCoy de Leon confirmed that he and Elisse Joson are “happy.”
When asked by entertainment reporter MJ Marfori whether or not he has fixed his relationship with Elisse, the actor kept his response short and simple: “Yes, yes.”
“Siguro, hindi ko ma-specific na... Basta ‘yun na ‘yung mabibigay ko. Kumbaga, masaya kami kung ano yung estado namin ngayon,” he said.
On Jan. 5, McCoy confirmed that he and Elisse have called it quits via his Instagram stories, noting that no third party was involved in their breakup. “Wala pong involved na ibang tao sa pinaka-rason kaya kami naghiwalay. Sana maniwala po kayo,” he wrote.
“Hindi ko po intensyon na manakit ng tao o manloko. Sadyang dumating lang po sa point na sobrang bigat ng problema kaya po ako sumuko,” he added.
Reconciliation rumors between the two started in the middle of the month when talent manager Ogie Diaz claimed in his YouTube vlog that McCoy accompanied Elisse to her taping for an upcoming project. They were also reportedly spotted together at a theme park in Tagaytay.
Shortly after, a local restaurant shared a snap of the former pair on its Facebook page, further fueling speculations that they have reconciled weeks after their split.
McCoy and Elisse met on reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016, where their romance bloomed. They briefly broke up in 2019 and reconciled two years later. They share a daughter named Felize McKenzie, who was born in April.
