Kim Rodriguez breaks silence on cheating allegations with Marc Pingris
Kim Rodriguez has addressed the cheating allegations surrounding her and basketball player Marc Pingris.
The actress denied the accusations, according to her manager Ogie Diaz, who shared what she told him in his vlog uploaded on Friday, March 29.
“Tito, hindi po ‘yan totoo,” Diaz quoted her as saying when he asked her about the rumors.
According to Diaz, Kim gave an explanation for the photos that sparked the cheating accusations, which included their respective snaps posted by a staff of a food stand at a gasoline station.
“Sabi ni Kim, ‘Nagpunta po ako diyan, nag-stopover ako diyan kasi papunta ako ng Subic kasama ‘yung mga kaibigan ko. ‘Yung kay Marc Pingris po, hindi ko po alam kung kailan ‘yun,’” Diaz said.
“Kahit itanong niyo po diyan sa girl na ‘yan kung magkasama kami ni Marc Pingris o kung pareho kaming nakita on that same time, I’m sure alam niya ang totoo,” Diaz quoted Kim.
Diaz also shared what Kim had to say about her and Marc's viral photos taken separately at the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
“Ang sabi naman sa ‘kin ni Kim, meron siyang dalawang kaibigan na kasama nung nagbakasyon sila sa Australia,” Diaz shared.
He added, “Ang sabi sa ‘kin ni Kim, ‘Anong pakialam ko kung may picture doon si Marc Pingris sa Opera House? Eh ako rin merong picture, eh lahat naman ng nagpupunta roon [sa] Sydney, dapat may picture ka raw sa Opera House, kaya may picture ako.’”
Diaz said that as her manager, he initially advised the actress to keep mum about rumors especially if they're not true. “Eh kaya lang as a vlogger at ako po ay inaasahan ninyo, kailangan kong magsalita rito. Syempre hindi naman para i-angat si Kim, kundi para kunin ‘yung panig niya."
Kim and Marc became the subject of cheating allegations earlier this month after individual photos of them taken in similar locations went viral on social media.
Pingris has denied the cheating rumors, stressing that there is no truth to them and that everything is well with his family with Danica Sotto.
“Walang katotohanan ang mga lumalabas na balita tungkol sa amin ni Ms. Kim Rodriguez," he said. "Walang namamagitan sa aming dalawa gaya ng sinasabi ng ibang tao."
Pingris noted that he spent time with Rodriguez during a basketball game and another event when she served as his team's muse.
"Ok kami ng pamilya ko. Wag na po tayo magpakalat ng mga balita na hindi totoo. Humihingi po kami ng respeto para hindi madamay ang mga anak namin ni Danica,” he added.
Pebbles Duque, Danica's close friend, earlier dismissed the cheating allegations. “Ay nako. He wont do that. Maraming priorities si Marc. They have a beautiful family,” Duque said in the caption of a reshared post on the issue. “My besfriend Danica and him have a very beautiful family.”
“Holy week na, dasal na lang po tayo para naman mabawasan 'yung mga kasalanan natin,” she added with the hashtag #char.
Danica commented on the post, asking Pebbles to calm down. “Kalma miga! We love you.” Sotto said, to which Duque replied, “Buti ka pa, kalma!” with a face with tears of joy emoji.
Danica and Marc got married in 2007. They have three children together.
